About The Train

With effect September 2017 the old carriages of Palace on Wheels train are going to be replaced by present carriages of Royal Rajasthan On Wheels Train Viz the 7 Nights circuit of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels coverin Khajuraho/Varanasi besides Rajasthan will stop operating & same train will now be operating on Palace On Wheels Circuit covering Forts & Palaces of Rajasthan with Taj Mahal

As the whistles of the luxury train blows and the wheels roll down the tracks, the travelers witness the true colors of Rajasthan portrayed by amazing architecture, fascinating festivals, scintillating sports, high adrenaline adventure, centurion craft and age old tradition. The 'Royal Rajasthan on Wheels' is a joint venture of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., supported by the Development of Tourism (Government of India).

The carriages of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Train ,now operating on Palace on Wheels Rajasthan Circuit ( viz without covering Khajuraho Or Varanasi) than Old Carriages of Palace On Wheels .There are total of 39 Deluxe Cabins & two super deluxe cabins on the train .Besides there are Two Dining Cars cum bar Lounge & One Saloon for Spa cum mini Gym. There are three deluxe cabins in each saloon with dedicated butler service. There are two Super Deluxe cabin in each saloon & all the cabins on the train have attached private bathrooms.

The Saloon/Carriage Cars are named after former princely states of Rajasthan & Dining Cars are called Maharaja & Maharani

Deluxe Cabin interiors are in hues of either Pearl Or Ruby OR Sapphire & interiors of Both Super Deluxe cabin are in hues of Pearl.

Concept of 7 Nights Palace on Wheels is that overnight you journey in comforts of your Sleeping Chambers & in day time enjoy pre-arranged sightseeing tours.

The cost towards Daily Three Meals( breakfast, lunch, dinner ) ; Tea/Coffee Service; Sightseeing Tours with Guides & Monument fees is all included in package cost . You only have to pay EXTRA for consumption of alcoholic & non -alcoholic beverages, Laundry & Use of Spa Facilities Or Beauty Parlour.
